Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about school services, private pay therapy, and camps.
Start here for the questions school district leaders and families ask most often. For a district-specific answer, use the school consultation form and tell us the state, discipline, approximate need, and target timeframe.
Does TheraWIDE work with school districts?
Yes. School districts can contact TheraWIDE about speech-language and occupational therapy support, including staffing and caseload needs that may be appropriate for virtual service delivery.
Can TheraWIDE help with an SLP or OT vacancy?
Districts can request a conversation about vacancy, leave, overflow, or planned coverage. Whether TheraWIDE can support the request depends on the discipline, state licensure, required schedule, approximate caseload, service scope, and clinician availability.
What information should a district provide first?
Start with the school district or organization, state, therapy discipline, approximate student or caseload need, grade range if known, target start timeframe, and whether the need is a vacancy, leave, overflow, or planned coverage. Do not send student records through the public website form.
Can services be delivered virtually?
TheraWIDE has a history of providing telehealth therapy services. Virtual school-based service delivery depends on the student needs, discipline, goals, state requirements, district procedures, technology, and the final service agreement.
Can TheraWIDE use a school district’s existing procedures and systems?
The first partnership conversation should include the district’s documentation, communication, scheduling, technology, privacy, and student-service workflows. The exact systems and procedures used would be defined as part of the service scope and onboarding plan.
